What we collect

If you subscribe, we collect your email address. That is the only personal information we ask for.

We also collect ordinary analytics about how the site is used — pages viewed, roughly where in the world visitors are, which link brought them here. This is aggregated and is not used to identify individuals.

We do not run advertising pixels. There is no Meta pixel, no TikTok pixel, no Google Analytics or Tag Manager on this site.

Why we collect it

To send you Eat Your Screen: signals weekly, a chapter monthly. Nothing else.

When you subscribe you are asked to confirm by email before anything is sent. If you do not confirm, you are not subscribed and you will hear from us once more at most.

Who processes it

The newsletter runs on beehiiv, which stores subscriber data and sends the emails on our behalf. Their privacy policy governs how they handle it.

We do not sell your email address. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not pass it to other newsletters.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link at the foot, and it works immediately. After that your address is removed.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond.

If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
